Pretend we’re talking about food. Cooks, broth, steak and cake.
Clarion’s simplicity is one of it’s greatest strengths. You can break down it’s architecture very simply. I guess the other side is that simple minds need it broken down (ha ha), but anyway.
The following image first appeared in the About page.
There is far more to Clarion than this. But sometimes you need to see a simple picture to imagine your path better.
Clarity.
Purpose.
Energy.
They can all (and much more) be gained from renewing a simple global understanding. And for those new here, visiting, or coming back to Clarion after a long absense, maybe this will help. I’m using Clarion most every day, and it’s as important now as it was when I began to be clear about these things.

2I’ve found (spending time with people who are new to Clarion, and even the odd non-programmer who might one day become a programmer) that people like having a simple understanding of how Clarion fits together. Obviously not everyone, maybe not even most people.
If you don’t agree with my picture of clarion’s arcitecture .. cool. Put your own up somewhere. Make a site. Get it out there.
If you don’t agree with people needing a simple understanding .. cool. Get back in the box and continue life your way.
If you’re having a laugh .. cool. I’m a jovial fellow, and will laugh along with you.
If you’re just being antagnostic however .. pull your head back in. And next time, at least have the gonads to put your real name and email down so we might continue the conversation. I’m happy to be wrong about things. If you think I’ve missed the ballpark, let me know where. Offer some constructive criticism. Otherwise, if you comment on here such as you have, I’ll just take it to you.
The main desire of this website is to be (mostly for when Clarion 7 is released) a beginning place for people to come who are new to Clarion. A beginner’s web presence, a place for some ideas .. plus just news.
Now I’m done being polite. You sir (or madam) are the reason Clarion has a bad name.
Why?
Because you think being right is more important than building relationships. Because you think if you don’t agree, then it’s wrong. Because you cannot see how something so useless as a simple image/explanation could ever be of help to anyone because you think it sucks.
Make your own website. Do something for the community. Show me where I’m wrong. What I could do to be better. To deliver the message better. Then we’ll both come out the other end better equipped.
